hey fellow members, sorry to burst your bubble but I received information in regards to MW2. This is what I wrote from my other clans website:
Got me to it. Emotions can be stirred up as we all anticipated this game for quite sometime and it looked promising. When I heard of this I was shocked, but at the same time it doesn't come to me as a surprise as I will talk about it below.

I was aware of this from CE|Exhail, and he stated how the game had a similar scenario to that of FEAR 2.
This move from Infinity ward and other companies involved was clearly intentional. These corporations want the gaming demographic to move away from PC's and towards consoles (pretty much luring them into it, because that is where they can maximize their profit). I wrote a message here on the forums awhile back about how their is a lack of innovation in the gaming industry for quite some time (software wise) and the motive for these developers is clearly based on just profiting.
You can even see the lack of innovation starting to see in the PC gaming industry to, where the supposed API's of DX10 can still be fully implemented into DX9. Last time I saw great innovation in DX was throughout DX9.0 to DX9.0c.
For us clan members, who we are skilled in PC gaming (and others alike) it is like:

At this point I am not sure what to think about whether or not IW will have dedicated server support.
From profiting business point of view, it may hurt them initially in the short term of not having dedicated server support, but in the long term (and when they still don't have dedicated server support) they will know that many PC gamers will eventually shift to the consoles which is where a lot of the profit is.
The use of DLC will entice gamers on consoles (where it may have to be paid extra money) for additional content.
Not to mention, console gamers can pay extra for the console version of game which includes additional packages such as prestige edition (~$150).
Lastly, the VAC anti cheat system for PC gaming is easy to bypass (same with PB which I think is worse)and it will be a haven for many hackers playing the game. This will cause PC gamers to be deterred into playing the PC version and will perhaps play on the console version (as it is difficult for many to hack on consoles without leaving traces).
There is a petition for dedicated server support for this game online (got over +24,000 signatures in one day, last time I checked).

Yeah no doubt, I wouldn't mind going back to playing Q3A or along those lines.

well if your interested we still have quite an alive community in q3
mud is currently leading our zs team right now,, vax and doomdirk both still play and loki also plays (i think these are all ex zs or red faction players)
